Honda NSX Concept Car

Honda has shown NSX concept at the Frankfurt motor show, and although this is the same concept we saw last year we now know it will be the last time it will be shown at a motor show in concept form.

the released pictures and details of a new racing variant of the upcoming NSX, called the Concept-GT, which will compete in the GT500 class of the Japanese Super GT series. Like the production version, the racer features a petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain, although due to the regulations uses a smaller 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant.

The latest incarnation of the road-going Honda NSX concept car made its debut at the Mid-Ohio Raceway ahead of an Indycar race at the circuit. The latest concept previews the return of the NSX via a tech-heavy four-wheel-drive hybrid supercar, tackling the Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 GT3, as well as the new BMW i8.

A power output of around 400bhp is anticipated from its mid-mounted V6 engine and hybrid electric motors. The engine, along with main electric motor will primarily drive the rear wheels, via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with a couple of supplementary motors powering the front axle. Honda dubs the torque vectoring system SH-AWD, short for Super Handling All Wheel Drive.

Assuming the production model doesn’t grow significantly, the NSX will have a relatively small footprint, which will be smaller than the McLaren 12C and Ferrari 458. Honda hasn’t yet released a weight figure, but it is thought that the focus on hybrid technology means it probably won’t be the flyweight and delicate sportscar that the original was.

Global development of the car is being performed by Honda's Ohio R&D team, led by Ted Klaus, while the company has previously confirmed the new NSX will be built in a new Performance Manufacturing Centre in Ohio. The fact that the NSX primarily a US project means it is badged as an Acura, although the European and Japanese models will wear the Honda name.

The new £46m (70m dollars) advanced production facility has been built in close proximity to Honda’s main Ohio plant, although much like the first NSX’s super high-tech Japanese factory (Takanezawa), is entirely self-contained. The company will pick 100 employees from current operations in Ohio to build the NSX.

Honda recently opened the order books for the NSX in the UK, ahead of a planned 2015 launch, and although UK prices are still to be announced, they are expected to start at around £100,000 – securely in Audi R8 or Porsche 911 territory.

Expected to go on sale in the next three years, will be developed by Honda R&D Americas and manufactured in Ohio, USA.

MotoGP Qualification Motorland Aragon 2013

Able to appear as the fastest driver on the fourth free practice session at Motorland Aragon MotoGP, Spain ( 28/9 ), was not a guarantee that Dani Pedrosa could secure the pole position in the qualifying session earlier in the afternoon. He still had to admit the superiority of his team mate Marc Marquez is able to perform so well to achieve good results.

Marquez’s seventh pole and third in succession came following a tight battle in north-eastern Spain, with MotorLand Aragón being one of seven anti-clockwise circuits on the current calendar. Lorenzo had topped the timesheets on Friday morning before Marquez moved ahead, although – following a damp third session – it was Pedrosa who led the way in final practice ahead of qualifying.

The record pole time was delivered by Marquez in the form of 1’47.804, with Yamaha Factory Racing’s Lorenzo preventing a Repsol Honda Team qualifying one-two. This means the top three on the grid will start in championship order, with Marquez holding a 34-point advantage over both of his rivals. Lorenzo’s teammate Valentino Rossi also saw his grid place match his position in the championship, being demoted from second to fourth in the final moments, ahead of Honda satellite riders Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP) and Alvaro Bautista (GO&FUN Honda Gresini).

The Keating Bolt Prototype

A prototype of the new supercar will attempt to break the world speed record for production cars in Ras al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates later this year when it will aim to beat the 300mph barrier.

The cars look like other super cars. But its ability to exceed the outstanding super cars on the road today. This is a super car that can penetrate a maximum speed of 600 km / hour. Bugatti Veyron super car had to be careful with the cars ability.

Car nicknamed 'The Bolt' modification is the work of British origin, Keating. This super car equipped Chevrolet LS7 V8 engine capacity of 7,000 cc is also pinned on the HSV W427 and Hennessey Venom GT which almost renders the prestige of the Bugatti Veyron a few months ago.

By, Keating engine is modified with the addition of up to powerful twin-turbocharged 2,500 hp and torque between 1,864 kW and provide power to the rear wheels. Keating acknowledged, this engine sourced from Nelson Racing Engines in the U.S. and is known as a specialist workshop for dragrace.

The interior design of this super car like the other super car that is the capacity of 2 passengers. The Bolt will use carbon and Kevlar panels to reduce weight and also has power steering and air-con. At full power, The Bolt can burn its way through a full tank of petrol in nine minutes

Quoted, The Age, Wednesday (09/25/2013) the creator claims the car can run from 0-100 km / h within 2 seconds and a maximum speed of 612 km / hour or half the speed of sound. This result makes Bolt the fastest production car on earth.

The Bolt can be regarded as the lightest super car. Weight only between 990-1200 kg lighter thanks to the aluminum chassis materials.

Keating says this car will be priced UAS $ 1,280,000 or approximately USD 14 billion. Pretty amazing price for beginners supercar.

RCV 1000 Street Production

Do you still remember the figure of the Ducati Desmosedici RR? Yup, the motor is a street version of MotoGP motorcycle racing, Ducati Desmo limited released in the year 2006. Well, it seems that in the near future Ducati Desmosedici RR will have followers.

Is a Japanese manufacturer, Honda is reportedly ready to release RCV 1000. The bike is nothing but a version of the RC123V MotoGP at EICMA 2013 in Milan, Italy in November.

Some photos appear in social networking, and depict a future RCV 1000. Not just news phenomenal appearance. RCV 1000 is also claimed as a 'toy' which is very expensive, with a price of about Rp 1.3 billion!

Eits, do not be surprised. For comparison, the Ducati Desmosedici RR was already valued USD 740 million and is always up on the black market after the entire production totaled 1,500 units sold out. Of course the price is fantastic for the RCV 1000 is enough to feel the sensation of a over 200 BHP V4 engine owned RC123V Pedrosa and Marquez.

Ever since Honda President Takanobu Ito stated that development of a new RC213V inspired supersports was on- the motorcycle has largely remained a mystery. Except a few patent drawings surfacing on the web, Honda has been completely mum over the bike.

Online Italian Magazine insella.it in their article that appears to be an insider info, reports of the Honda RCV 1000 MotoGP Replica to be unveiled at EICMA 2013. In fact it is even stated that Honda collectors have been invited to Japan for a private unveiling of the motorcycle well before the curtains are raised at EICMA.

To be more functional lauched on the highway, RCV 1000 has been revised in the electronics sector, and the characters are more streetable throttle. There are also LED lights on the headlamp application and license plate holder and a small stop lamp.

The plan will be released this bike new in 2015. But until EICMA 2013 was held, the Honda is still mum about the presence of RCV 1000.

Indonesian International Motor Show 2012

Toyota Fun-Vii Futuristic EV

This futuristic EV concept is Toyota's vision of the future of driving. With generation Z, who have grown up with the internet, as the target audience, the whole body and interior is a smartphone-connected display.

"Normally, the scenery outside is visible. And by adding AR displays, safety has been enhanced. As a bonus, all kinds of information can be shown on the windscreen."

"When people in the so-called Net Native generation get a car, the question is: What kind of value will that car need to offer? We've approached this question from the leisure perspective, rather than from the car side. So our idea with this car is to get to the heart of the question, from the outside in."

The Toyota Fun-Vii's software for driving, control, and multimedia is updated continually online. By connecting to nearby cars and to satellites, blind spots at intersections can be perceived in advance, you can communicate with other friends cars, and the car is able to drive itself to destinations.

"What we're currently thinking of, possibly, is driving an EV automatically, as well as ordinary driving, turning, and stopping. If there are automatic driving lanes on public roads, and this car enters one, you could take your hands off the wheel, and enjoy doing something else. We're thinking about all kinds of devices for situations like that."

"For example, with a video like this, you might be able to enjoy virtual racing between the monitor and your actual situation. Even if you're driving slowly, you could have a new visual experience by playing the video fast. Those are the sort of ideas we've been thinking about."

Nissan Extrem Concept Car

Nissan company has created a new car Nissan Extrem and showed it at the International Motor Show in Sao Paulo (the south-east of Brazil).

Nissan Extrem created by developers as a "new urban compact sports car." Car created on Nissan March / Micra, and despite the large size of the body, the landing formula is only 2+2, and sadly enough space only for two adults and two children. And it is his main drawback.

The main idea says, that on the new concept car is necessary to put a 1.6-liter turbo engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DIG-T),and as an option, offering all-wheel drive with torque distribution system, a system similar to the system Nissan Juke. But inspite of all the pros and cons of a series of future Nissan Extrem never will.

With this concept car, Nissan company shows its attitude to world car market. Nissan-is one of the fastest growing, so many corporations seek to snatch a piece of the "Brazilian pie." Nissan expects to take a 5% market share by 2016, when Nissan will become the title sponsor of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Mitsubishi EMIRAI Concept

Sneak peeks at future technology often come with a curious mixture of excitement (it's new!) and frustration (you have to wait ten years) and so it is with Mitsubishi's innovative EMIRAI automotive interface concept. While the system steers clear of the hands-free personal transportation envisioned in futuristic films such as Minority Report, it does explore interacting with your ride in some very compelling ways.

Among the new system's key innovations is a curved, touch-sensitive rear projection display that makes today's flat LCD panels look rather, well, pedestrian. Another interesting feature is the array of 18 steering wheel-mounted variable-activity buttons. To enhance intuitive interface interaction, only buttons usable at a given moment will be raised, the remainder will stay retracted. Gently sliding one's fingers over the buttons will scroll the display, too.

As if all that weren't enough, the EMIRAI interface also incorporates biometrics such as an infrared camera and Doppler sensor to measure facial temperature and heart rate respectively. Aside from telling the driver how he or she is feeling on any given day, that data can also be used to invoke pre-determined customized settings such as seat and mirror positions for alternate drivers and maybe even key-less ignition. Just so folks in the back seat don't feel left out, they've even thrown in curved, glasses-free 3D seatback display touchscreens.

"At Mitsubishi Electric, we suggest individual technologies to all kinds of car makers," said Kiyoshi Matsutani, manager of Mitsubishi Electric's Automotive Electronics Development Center, as he explained the rationale behind such an advanced look at his company's drawing boards. "But unless we show how these technologies can actually be used, manufacturers don't have a clear image of them, or understand what level of performance they've reached. So we suggest specifically how technologies can be used, by enabling people to experience those technologies for themselves." Judging from the excitement surrounding EMIRAI, it's safe to say the future is likely to arrive sooner rather than later.

Fiat 500 Is Coming 2013 IIMS

The 2013 Fiat 500 ranks 20 out of 39 Affordable Small Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 66 published reviews and test drives of the Fiat 500, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

2013 Fiat 500 is one of the most attractive cars on the road, but its tight interior and underpowered base engine make competitors more appealing choices.

There are several things reviewers dislike about the Fiat 500’s powertrain. The base 500’s four-cylinder engine produces 101 horsepower. Though this isn’t much horsepower for the class, several test drivers say it’s just enough to get the 500 around town, although taking the 500 on the highway is a different story.

Regardless of the model they drove, test drivers are impressed with the 500's standard manual transmission and optional six-speed automatic, calling them smooth and responsive. Reviewers report the 2013 Fiat 500 is easily overwhelmed by crosswinds on the highway. Critics also mention that the 500’s ride is a little bumpy, but like that it has engaging steering and say the 500 is very easy to park.

The Fiat 500 seats four people, but reviewers find that the second-row seats have limited knee- and legroom for adults. They report that the front seats, however, have plenty of room for adults, though cabrio (convertible) models may not have enough headroom for tall drivers and front passengers.

Test drivers also say that rear visibility is poor. Critics aren’t surprised that the 500 has little cargo space with the seats up, but think the available room is adequate for a trip to the grocery store.

The base model comes standard with an auxiliary input, USB port and Bluetooth. Optional features include two stereo upgrades, satellite radio and a navigation system. Overall, many reviewers think the 500’s features are rather hard to use.

Hennessey Venom GT

Hennessey Venom GT, officially the new fastest car in the world! The Koenigsegg Agera R had broken nearly all of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport's speed records to become the fastest car in the world. The only record the Koenigsegg did not beat was Bugatti's overall top speed, which still stands at 268 miles per hour. But now the Hennessey Venom GT officially holds the Guinness world record for accelerating from 0-186 MPH, making it the fastest car in the world today.

Earlier this week, a team from Hennessey took their Venom GT out onto a Houston track to test the super car's limits. The team was well aware that the standing record for accelerating from 0-186 MPH was 14.53 seconds, set by the Koenigsegg Agera R. Koenigsegg took the record from Bugatti which had a previous high mark of 16.7 seconds. After several practice runs and much anticipation, the Guinness team officially clocked the Hennessey Venom GT's 0-186 MPH at 13.63 seconds. Fast enough to make it the fastest car in the world today! The Venom GT also went from 0-100 in just 5.88 seconds, and hit 205 MPH after one mile flat out.

Now before you feel too bad for Bugatti, keep in mind that the Veyron Super Sport still holds two very important world records: 1) The Super Sport's top speed of 268 MPH is still the fastest in the world and 2) at a base sticker price of $2.4 million, the Super Sport is till, by far, the most expensive car on the planet. On the other hand, the Hennessey team is quick to claim that if they also had access to Volkswagen's famous Ehra-Lessien test track, the Venom GT could would easily smash Bugatti's top speed record. The Hennessey team is now on the hunt for a track or private toll rode that would allow them to really go after the Super Sport's 268 MPH top speed mark. Hennessey's world record test driver believes that hitting 270 MPH would be no problem with the right course.

Another thing you may want to consider when purchasing a super car like the Venom GT or the Bugatti Veyron is fuel economy. These super cars obviously require the highest quality and most expensive gasoline. They also clearly have very low MPG. When performing at top speed, the Bugatti Veyron gets just three miles per gallon! In other words, when driving at top speed the Bugatti will burn through 1.5 gallons of fuel every minute. That means if you are driving at top speed, you will burn through an entire tank of gas in just over 10 minutes! Assuming you pay around $4 for premium fuel, that's $70 every time you burn through a tank.

If you're interested in purchasing a Hennessey Venom GT, you should know that the base sticker price is $1.43 million. And if that wasn't bad enough, the company is only planning to make 29 of them! Actually they only have 28 left after Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler took ownership of his special addition convertible Hennessey Venom GT.

Koenigsegg Agera R

The ultra-exclusive Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg is releasing a new model called the Agera R, which will be the new fastest production car in the world setting five Guinness world records. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport still holds the overall top speed record at 268mph and is still the (world's most expensive car), but the Koenigsegg Agera R has triumphed in all other aspects of speed. Most importantly, it beat the Veyron Super Sport in the 0-186mph (0-300km/h) with a time of only 14.53 seconds compared to the Super Sport at 16.7 second.

The new Agera R is also among the world's most expensive cars, with a price tag of $1.7 million. The R model costs $200,000 more than the standard Agera. And when you're dropping that much cash, you might as well spring for the R. The big difference between the standard and the R isn't the jump from 940hp to 1110hp, it's that the standard Agera is a supercar and the Agera R is a "hypercar". A hypercar is a car that is made of ultra-light alloys and an environmentally friendly drive train to achieve it's high performance. This could mean a carbon fiber design with a hybrid engine super car.

In the Agera R's case, this hypercar runs on E85 biofuel instead of regular gasoline in the standard model. The car gets 16 mpg, which is pretty decent for 1110hp car that just broke a world speed record. The Agera R can run on normal 95 octane gas, but you loose 100hp and green bragging rights. The engine itself is a 5.0 liter V8 engine that is twin-turbocharged and weighs just 434 pounds and miraculously manages to meet required global emission standards. This gives the Agera R the unofficial world record of high power to low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

This green powerhouse of an engine is attached to new 7-speed gearbox to only the rear wheels and features the world's first dual clutch system for a single input shaft gearbox. The unique triple-damper suspension has the front wheels wider than the rear, with the most cutting-edge ABS system, electronic differential and traction control. It also has special Michelin tires, custom designed only for the Agera. Note the turbine-shaped wheels, which actually work as turbines to create more down-force and cool the massive breaks. The monocoque chassis is made completely of carbon fiber, keeping the car ultra-stiff, even with the detachable roof removed. It also has a sweet rear wing on the back that goes up when you drive real fast.

Inside, only the best of the best is used, following a Swedish minimalist aesthetic. Materials used include aircraft-grade aluminum, carbon fiber, precious metals and two types of leather. Even the steering wheel and seats are made of carbon fiber. The dashboard interface is customization, with central high-def touchscreen for audio, navigation, bluetooth and fancy performance meters and data displays.

The Agera has another claim-to-fame with the largest trunk space in the world (for a hypercar). It's big enough to store the removable roof or even a set of golf clubs. The model shown on ice above features the optional winter package with roof box. It includes specially designed Michelin snow tires and a separate roof with the fixed box for your skis. The roof box, made by Swedish company Thule, has been tested up to 186mph (300km/h). So yes, this makes it the fastest roof box in the world!! Perfect for the uber-rich owner to zip from their private Swiss bank to their chalet in the Swiss Alps in record time!

0-186 mph = 14.53 sec
0-200 mph = 17.68 sec
186-0 mph = 6.66 sec
200-0 mph = 7.28 sec
0-186-0 mph = 21.19 sec
0-200-0 mph = 24.96 sec
