Pengetesan Konsumsi BBM Mobil LCGC

Metode yang digunakan dalam pengetesan spesial ini adalah sejumlah BBM untuk dipakai berjalan hingga mati total, maka tantangannya adalah memastikan bahwa jumlah BBM harus benar-benar sesuai. Artinya, kami harus memastikan tangki BBM benar-benar kosong sebelum dimasukkan 5 liter BBM.

Tanda bahwa tangki kosong adalah mobil mati dengan sendirinya. Solusinya dengan membawa mobil berkeliling untuk menghabiskan BBM namun tidak jauh dari titik start yang ada di kantor Auto Bild.

Sesi penghabisan ini pun cukup dramatis karena meski instrumen sudah menunjukkan bahwa tangki sudah harus diisi, namun mobil tak kunjung mati. Seperti yang terjadi pada Ivan Hermawan. Untuk menghabiskan BBM Daihatsu Ayla, ia berjalan hingga 50 km. Ketika mati, ternyata lokasi habisnya jauh dari kantor. Alhasil ia harus mengisi lagi tangki BBM dengan cadangan BBM yang dibawa via jerry can. Sampai di kantor pun mobil tak langsung mati karena masih ada sisa BBM. Ia pun harus menunggu lama lagi untuk sampai mobil benar-benar mati.

Kondisi ini juga terjadi pada hampir seluruh tester. Termasuk Trybowo Laksono yang pada saat penghabisan BBM, kerap mengganti gigi di rpm tinggi agar BBM cepat habis. Namun pengorbanan itu tidak sia-sia. Karena pada akhirnya semua mobil tes kami mendapat kondisi yang sama. Yaitu ke-empat mobil berada pada kondisi BBM kosong total. Bahkan beberapa mobil harus diderek untuk mencapai tempat pengisian BBM di kantor.

Kesimpulan

Terbukti sudah bahwa transmisi otomatis yang disematkan pada Toyota Agya menjadi kontestan pertama yang harus berhenti akibat kehabisan bahan bakar. Loss power menjadi kendala utama Agya saat berada dalam kondisi ‘stop and go’ sehingga menempatkannya di urutan buncit

Disusul oleh saudara kembarnya, Daihatsu Ayla. Bermodalkan transmisi manual, ia mampu mencatat jarak yang lebih jauh 2,3 km dari Toyota Agya.
